Malachi speaks about a day when the arrogant and wicked will be punished. It means that God will bring justice to those who do wrong. The arrogant and wicked are those who do not follow God's ways. They live without thinking about God's commandments. Malachi also talks about the "sun of righteousness" which shows God's blessing and healing for those who honor Him. It means that good people will receive God's favor. This shows that faithfulness matters and that God rewards those who trust in Him. The second reading shows us the importance of hard work. That people should not be idle but should contribute to their communities.

Working with purpose is part of living a faithful life. Laziness leads to trouble, while effort brings good results. The Gospel speaks about trials and hardships. Jesus warns of future struggles, but He tells His followers not to be afraid. Those who stay strong in faith will be saved. The Gospel this Sunday encourages endurance, trust, and action in daily life. Jesus talks about wars, natural disasters, and persecution. These trials are meant to test the faith of His followers. The readings tell us to stand firm and "to "stand firm" means to remain faithful to God even in hard times. It means not giving up on our beliefs. We can endure by staying strong in our faith. Jesus promises to give us wisdom and strength to face these challenges.

Jesus wants to prepare His followers for future events. He tells them about the temple's destruction to show that difficult times are coming. Remember, that God is with us and He will guide us through our trials. If we stay strong and trust in Him, we will find the strength to endure our trials and receive His blessings. We just need to follow his plans for each one of us. Some people might think Christians are a strange group "rejoice in our sufferings." We do this because we know that "suffering produces strength, and strength produces character, and character produces hope, and hope does not disappoint us."

Each of us should be willing to be a martyr for Christ; however, most of us are called to apply our faith and our merits more humbly, in smaller ways. (PC)

Esperanza en Los Juicios por Venir

Las lecturas de este domingo invitan a la reflexión. Nos piden que pensemos en la justicia, el trabajo arduo y la firmeza en la fe. Estas enseñanzas son importantes en la vida diaria. Dediquemos un tiempo a reflexionar sobre estos mensajes. Las lecturas nos enseñan a ser justos, a trabajar con ahínco y a ser fieles, y a través de ellas se nos recuerda que la justicia y las recompensas de Dios son seguras, y que debemos superar las pruebas con fe. Dios nos recuerda que Él lo ve todo y que hará justicia. La primera lectura advierte que los malvados serán castigados, pero quienes honran a Dios serán bendecidos.

Malaquías habla de un día en que los arrogantes y malvados serán castigados. Esto significa que Dios hará justicia a quienes obran mal. Los arrogantes y malvados son aquellos que no siguen los caminos de Dios. Viven sin pensar en sus mandamientos. Malaquías también habla del «sol de justicia», que muestra la bendición y la sanación de Dios para quienes lo honran. Significa que las personas buenas recibirán el favor de Dios. Podemos perseverar manteniéndonos firmes en nuestra fe. Jesús promete darnos sabiduría y fortaleza para afrontar estos desafíos.

Jesús quiere preparar a sus seguidores para los acontecimientos futuros. Les habla de la destrucción del templo para mostrarles que se avecinan tiempos difíciles. Recordemos que Dios está con nosotros y nos guiará a través de nuestras pruebas. Si nos mantenemos firmes y confiamos en Él, encontraremos la fuerza para soportar nuestras pruebas y recibir sus bendiciones. Solo necesitamos seguir sus planes para cada uno de nosotros. Algunos podrían pensar que los cristianos somos un grupo extraño que «se regocija en sus sufrimientos». Lo hacemos porque sabemos que «el sufrimiento produce fortaleza; la fortaleza, carácter; el carácter, esperanza; y la esperanza no defrauda».

Cada uno de nosotros debería estar dispuesto a ser un mártir por Cristo; sin embargo, la mayoría estamos llamados a aplicar nuestra fe y nuestros meritos con mayor humildad, en pequeñas cosas. (PC)
