Many of us have questions about death and what happens after we die. We may feel unsure, afraid, or curious. The Church gives us hope through the promise of eternal life. Because of this, we pray for the souls of those who have died. We believe our prayers can help them as they prepare to be with God in heaven. This is a deep act of love. The Catechism of the Catholic Church explains this clearly. The Church has done this for many centuries. We do it today, especially on All Souls Day. Purgatory is also part of this teaching. Some souls need to be purified before they can see God. Our prayers can help them during this time. This belief is based on both Scripture and tradition. La Iglesia nos da esperanza a través de la promesa de la vida eterna. El Día de los Fieles Difuntos es un momento para recordar a quienes han fallecido y orar por ellos. El amor no termina con la muerte. Cuando oramos por los difuntos, demostramos amor y confianza en la misericordia de Dios. Creemos que nuestras oraciones pueden ayudar a quienes han muerto. Esto no es solo una idea bonita; es parte de nuestra fe católica. Esta práctica se remonta a muchos siglos atrás y nos recuerda que seguimos conectados con nuestros seres queridos. Algunas personas desconocen el purgatorio, qué es o tienen una idea equivocada al respecto.
